Would any of your employees be interested in having a say in the governance of their LGPS pension? They’d need to be:

  • a member of the Cambridgeshire Pension Fund
  • objective
  • able to work in a team
  • able to analyse information effectively.

The Cambridgeshire Pension Fund Board helps Cambridgeshire County Council manage the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

About the role

They don’t need to be a pensions expert! It’s a voluntary role for four years. They’ll be given full training and all reasonable expenses will be paid for. The Board meets four times a year. Three of these meetings are held virtually over Zoom and one meeting is at New Shire Hall, Alconbury Weald, Huntingdon, PE28 4YE.

The Board reviews:

  • decisions of the Pension Fund Committee
  • decisions of the Investment Sub-Committee
  • draft policies.

They can find more information in our Scheme member representative document.
