Independent registered medical practitioners
Before referring a member for an ill health assessment, you must get the opinion of a pre-approved independent registered medical practitioner (IRMP). Our list of approved IRMPs are in the table below.
If you want to use an IRMP not on the list, fill in the IRMP approval form and email it to penemployers@westnorthants.gov.uk
Make sure the IRMP you choose:
- is registered with the General Medical Council
- holds a diploma in occupational health medicine (or equivalent)
- is an associate, member, or fellow of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (or equivalent).
